How To Submit Freelance Pitches To Evie
Have a brilliant idea? We’d love to hear it! Read on for our submission guidelines and pitching tips.

Submission Guidelines
Please send pitches only; do not submit full drafts of stories/op-eds. We only accept pieces that haven't been published elsewhere.
Your pitch should include the following:
A sample headline
A paragraph summary of the piece
Your angle in 2–3 sentences
Where you've been published, with links
Links to your social media (Twitter/X, Instagram)
Sources you have access to, with links
How To Submit
Use our submission form to send your pitch directly.
If you want guidance on what to do, and what not to do, keep reading.
Step 1: Get To Know Evie
We're not like other women's magazines, and you probably already know that. Before pitching, get familiar with our content and tone. Read our About Us page, and get to know our audience by reading the 3 Women of Evie on our Advertising page. Every pitch should align with Evie's mission and feel original in its approach.
Step 2: Don't Forget Your Email Address
Imagine sending in the most brilliant pitch of your life and us having no way to reach you. Tragic. Don't skip this step.
Step 3: Present Your Pitch Clearly
Paint the full picture using as few words as possible.
Step 4: Follow the Submission Guidelines
This helps us review pitches efficiently. Pitches that don't follow the guidelines may not be considered.
Step 5: Be Patient
We're currently receiving a higher than normal volume of submissions, which has delayed our typical response time. Please allow two weeks for a response. If you don't hear back within that window, your pitch wasn't accepted this time.
We don't have the capacity to respond to every submission individually, but if you don't hear back, or have a few pitches rejected, don't get discouraged. Sometimes it's simply a matter of timing.
We can't wait to hear from you.
